I am very impressed with the MB1 I received from Philippe, it plays better than any Guardala style mouthpiece I have ever tried. He is really a master craftsman, the standard and accuracy of his work is amazing. I am able to get a wide-range of tonal colours from this mouthpiece, from a bright funky timbre to a soft, velvety subtone. It is very even tonally over the whole instrument, with a much more improved top end and wide dynamic range. So, bravo. Excellent job! I received my Florida Meta tenor mouthpiece a couple of months ago and have been using it since then. I always find it takes me about a month to adjust to a new mouthpiece. I have to say this MPC is super fantastic. Free blowing with just enough resistance allowing me to get the sound I was looking for - warm but with some projection. I purchased a florida model which was truly excellent but slightly different from what I was looking for. Although I wasn’t sure that I wanted risking changing it and losing what I loved about it, I decided to speak with Philippe about it. He replied within the hour with several proposals for baffle modifications that could achieve what I was looking for. I sent it to him and he achieved exactly what I was hoping for and now the mouthpiece is comfortable and even closer to what I was searching for. I would recommend Les Becs D’Autan to anyone who is looking for a serious mouthoiece. J'ai reçu mon Florida 8* Les Becs d'Autan samedi dernier et c'est un véritable bonheur a jouer chaque jour. Tout y est pour moi, rondeur, flexibilité, suraigus faciles, projection et dynamique superbe, bref un bec d'une qualité exceptionnel réalisé avec passion. C'est "lumineux " comme le décrit très bien le commentaire de Bernard Richebé ici, j'aurais pu copier son commentaire en changeant simplement saxophone Mark VI de 64 par Mark VI de 66. Pour moi ça chante et c'est "fleuri " si je peux dire ça comme ça pour décrire la richesse du son !
